***Snow***

SNOW! On Camano Island.
We don't get snow and cold very often. This is a rare treat. Time to bundle up, sit by the fire and work on ART.

Bunny's Cake

My little sister, Ellen, was born just before Easter. Every year Mom would bake her a bunny cake with jelly beans, sprinkles and coconut.  Sugary!  We still call her "Buns" which is short for Bunny.  I love my little sis! xoJeannieWeenie

Heroes for the Homeless

An auction to benefit Heroes for the Homeless (http://www.heroesforthehomeless.com) will take place during Seattle's Food & Wine experience in October.  This is the wine barrel I painted for the fundraiser.  I used acrylics and Krylon spray paint and just a touch of latex house paint in layers along with some stamping and stencils.

Pearanoia

Somebody is watching me.
I can't get any work done with all this stuff piled on the dining room table.
Wait - what's that noise?
Maybe if I just organize these little piles.
Something just moved in the corner.
Maybe if I walk the dog, I can clear my head,
then grab something to eat, scan the newspaper,
run a load of laundry, make a phone call,
move the little piles to the counter, water the plants...
Is somebody there?

Need to get rid of the clutter!!!!!

The Doctor is In

Chance and I have been spending plenty of time together this summer. Diane and Burley join us on Wednesdays for our weekly 'therapy session'.  Trails are nearby and we sometimes make up our own trail system through the pastures, down the lane, around the barn and back to the arena.
Only one rule: have fun.  Easy.

Should've Had It Toasted

My Uncle Nick had the funniest joke, but I don't remember it. The punchline was "Should've Had It Toasted!"  That I remember because he had it printed on a t-shirt like this:
Should've
Had
It
Toasted
He was the best Uncle!

You Big Crybaby!

JoJo was not too happy when we brought little s7v7n home. He was only 5 weeks old and a big whiner.  Joey barely tolerated the noisy pup, then became his 'mom' and now they are best of friends.  s7v7n is still a big baby (about 95 lbs.) and thinks he can sit on my lap. Both dogs refuse to howl at the moon with me.            Babies.

Priming the Benches

The benches are primed and ready for the colors and design.
Spud (the tortoise) stopped by to take a look as he
made his way to the greener grass on the other side
of the driveway. He enjoyed the sunshine today, too.

My two benches are waiting for their turn to get painted and sitting with the church pew, getting acquainted. My peas and sunflowers are planted. The sun is/was shining.
Time for the first coat of paint!

Sunset View from Our Happy Bungalow

My First Blog Post Ever!

Really? It's that easy? Guess it must be simple for this old dog to learn a new trick or two. Keep your eye on this site for regular updates re: galleries, exhibits, projects and any other art-related topics I can think of. For now, I'll post a picture & we'll see what happens. Thanks for your patience as I sort through all this.
By the way, the title: Jeannie Paints Everything, comes from the fact that I really do paint everything—chairs, walls, fiberglass sculptures, clothes, garage doors, my horse (yep, paint right on him), old dishes, rocks, the kitchen sink...
Motto: More is More! (and sometimes not enough)
